NPL Announces NPL Season 2 – Australian Professional League Second Season

National Pickleball League, the premium Pickleball organisation of Australia, today announced details for the 2ndseason of Australia’s Professional Team Pickleball League – NPL Season 2.

NPL Season 1, the first Professional Team Pickleball league in Australia, launched on March 2nd 2024 with 18 Teams across 3 states and 108 players. Three successful rounds have been completed in Season 1 with all fixtures/results available online at https://www.nplpickleball.com.au/fixtures

Nine Teams (three from each state) will fight off the title of NPL Season 1 Champions and the $100,000 Cash Prize during a 3 day finals series (May 30th– June 2nd) held at the #1 Indoor Pickleball Facility in Australia – The Jar South Melbourne.

NPL Season 2 will feature another $100,000 Prize Pool, with $50,000 to the winning team. NPL S2 will also likely feature one team each from Western Australia, Tasmania & New Zealand that will join the teams already existing in the NSW/ACT, VIC and QLD Divisions of NPL.

NPL S2 will continue to showcase the extremely popular NPLeague TMformat, unique to the National Pickleball League. NPLeagueTM aims to showcase the best professional Pickleball players in Australia by combining the best aspects of the singles & doubles disciplines in Pickleball.  In this exciting format, NPL teams consist of 6 players – 3 males and 3 females, who will all be required to play in each match. The first 4 sets include Womens Singles, Mixed Doubles, Mens Singles & Gender Doubles with the Dill Breaker encapsulating both Doubles & Singles.

The draft registration process is now officially open. With expressions of interest for captaincy and sponsorship for the additional teams from WA, TAS and NZ. All other key dates & schedules are listed below and on the NPL website at:

· Captains Announced: Sat June 1st

· NPL Season 1 Finals End: Sun June 2nd

· Season 2 Draft: Sat July 14th

· Season 2 Contracts Signed: Fri July 27th

· Season 2 Begins: Sat August 17th

· ROUND 1: SAT AUGUST 17th

· ROUND 2: SAT SEPT 7th

· ROUND 3: SAT SEPT 21st

· ROUND 4: SAT OCT 12th

· ROUND 5: SAT NOV 2nd

· FINALS: FRI/SAT/SUN NOV 22nd, 23rd, 24th
