NATIONAL PICKLEBALL LEAGUE (NPL) – TERMS OF ENTRY WAIVER

 

These Terms of Entry (“Terms”) constitute a binding agreement between you and the National Pickleball League (“NPL”, “we”, “us”) regarding your participation in any NPL event, league, tournament, program, booking, or activity (“Event”). Please read these Terms carefully before participating.

 

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

Acknowledgement: By registering for or participating in any NPL Event, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Terms.

 

Amendments: NPL may update these Terms from time to time. Continued participation in any NPL Event following such updates constitutes your acceptance of the amended Terms.

 

 

2. SCOPE OF SERVICES

 

NPL organises and operates Events in various formats and locations, including leagues, tournaments, programs, and related offerings. These Events may take place at partner or third-party venues.

 

 

3. ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS

 

Your participation may be subject to additional venue-specific waivers, policies, or rules. Failure to comply may result in restriction or termination of your participation.

 

 

4. ASSUMPTION OF RISK

 

You acknowledge that participating in sporting activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, illness, property damage, or death. By participating, you voluntarily assume all associated risks and release NPL and its affiliates from any liability connected to your involvement.

 

 

5. MEDICAL EXPENSES

 

NPL does not provide insurance coverage for participants and will not reimburse medical expenses. You are encouraged to hold your own appropriate insurance.

 

 

6. CODE OF CONDUCT & DISCIPLINE

 

All participants must adhere to NPL’s Code of Conduct, available via the NPL Help Centre or relevant communication channels. NPL reserves the right to enforce disciplinary actions, including suspension or removal, at its sole discretion.

 

 

7. MEDIA RELEASE CLAUSE

 

By entering any NPL Event, you grant the National Pickleball League (NPL), its partners, affiliates, sponsors, and designated media personnel the perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, and unrestricted right to use, reproduce, edit, distribute, and display your name, image, voice, likeness, and biographical information in connection with the promotion, marketing, broadcasting, or reporting of the Event or any future NPL-related activity, in any media format, whether now known or developed in the future. This includes, but is not limited to, social media, television broadcasts, livestreams, photography, promotional materials, and news coverage.

 

 

8. PRIVACY

9. GENERAL CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

 

By participating in any NPL Event, you agree to:

  • Wear appropriate footwear and equipment as required.

  • Follow the rules of play, all posted signage, and directions given by event staff or officials.

  • Supervise any minors accompanying you, if applicable.

  • Avoid bringing prohibited items, such as weapons, illicit substances, or breakable objects.

  • Comply with local venue requirements, including any alcohol licensing, safety, and animal restrictions.

  • Accept that NPL and its venue partners are not liable for lost or stolen property or personal injury.

  • Accept that failure to comply with these Terms may result in removal from the Event or refusal of future participation.

 

Some venues may use CCTV or security monitoring throughout the facility.

 

 

10. AGREEMENT

 

By registering for or participating in any NPL Event, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms of Entry and any applicable venue-specific conditions.
