NPL works with the biggest names in Australian and world sport to grow pickleball - from the Australian Open ecosystem to the global professional game.

    Tennis Australia

    PARTNER SINCE 2025
    Official Pickleball Growth Partner

In December 2025, Tennis Australia and NPL announced a partnership to drive one of Australia's fastest-growing sports - supporting clubs, coaches and communities to expand access to social and competitive play, with a focus on a joint tournament series - the Pickleball Community Cup, launched July 2026 - racquet hub centres (adding pickleball to existing tennis centres) and use of modern technology (LADER) across all racquet sports within the TA network.

"Tennis Australia's partnership with the National Pickleball League is a natural fit, allowing us to create even more opportunities for Australians to pick up a racquet."

    AO Startups

    2025/26 COHORT

NPL was selected for AO Startups - the Australian Open's innovation program run by Tennis Australia - in the 2025/26 cohort. AO Startups pairs selected companies with the AO and the wider Tennis Australia ecosystem: industry expertise, world-class venues, global broadcast exposure and a live audience of more than a million fans. The program named pickleball a focus area - and chose NPL.

AO Startups sits alongside AO Ventures - the official venture capital arm of Tennis Australia and the Australian Open.

    Global Pickleball Alliance

NPL is a founding member of the Global Pickleball Alliance - the coalition running world pickleball's unified professional tour and official world rankings. Australians earn world-ranking points at NPL events at home.
